The FMEC Designer primary role is to assist our Engineering department with designing plastic injection molds and die cast dies. Franchino Mold & Engineering seeking a Project Manager to plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames, expected quality and budgeted profitability. Reviews project proposal/plan to determine time frames, profitability, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. Oversee all aspects of the project milestones and suggest and make process improvements.

Moldmakers are responsible for the full assembly, repair and maintenance of dies/molds, inserts and components. Works from plans, diagrams and specifications to perform a group of related and unrelated operations to manufacture a completed product or component. Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools.

• Possesses an overall knowledge of purpose, use, fit and function of all mold and die components.
• Knowledge of new mold assembly, die tear down and spotting.
